✨ Our Privacy Promises
📊 Information We Collect
Information You Provide:
- Birth Date: Used only for age verification and determining if parental controls are needed. Never transmitted anywhere.

🔒 How We Store Your Information
- Local Storage: All data is stored securely on your device using iOS Keychain and Core Data with encryption.

- For users under 18, video links require parental approval before being added
👶 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
We take children's privacy very seriously:
- Age Verification: We require birth date for age verification only — it never leaves your device
- Parental Controls: For users under 18, we require a separate parent PIN during setup
- Parent Approval: External links and videos require parent approval for under-18 users
- No Data Collection: We do not collect any personal information from children (or anyone!)
- No Third Parties: We never share anyone's data with third parties
- Safe Mode: Additional privacy controls for sensitive content
🔐 Data Security
- PIN Protection: PINs are hashed using PBKDF2 with salt (100,000 iterations) and stored in iOS Keychain

💕 About the Developer
Choose A Life You Love was created by a stay-at-home mum who wanted to build a tool to help families organise their goals and dreams together.
This app was developed with the assistance of AI tools (Claude by Anthropic) to ensure best practices in security, privacy, and child safety. I'm committed to continuous improvement and getting things right.
My commitment to you:
- ✅ Your privacy comes first — I genuinely don't collect any data because I don't have servers!
- ✅ All data stays on your device — I couldn't access it even if I wanted to
- ✅ I'm responsive to feedback — if you find issues, I'll fix them
- ✅ This is a passion project built with care for families like mine
- ✅ No tracking, no ads, no monetisation of your data — ever
If you have any concerns or find anything that doesn't work as described, please contact me. I'm learning and growing as a developer, and your feedback helps make this app better for everyone.
